Delta 10 THC – What People Are Saying About It

When it comes to learning about the specific effects of a compound, especially a new cannabinoid, most people want cold, hard science. Concrete facts to point out. However, due to decades of illogical overregulation, this is not always possible in the cannabis world. Take Delta 10 THC, a brand new synthetic cannabinoid that is already on the market, although we know little about it. In this case, the only information we need to work with is anecdotal evidence. In other words, what are people saying about Delta 10 THC and how does it affect their mind and body?

What is Delta 10 THC?

Like many cannabis trends before that, Delta started 10 THC in the Golden State: California. In this case, however, the discovery was purely accidental. It all started when Adelanto-based Fusion Farms bought flowers outdoors to make concentrates. Because of the climate in California that was hit by forest fires, the biomass they bought had been sprayed with fire retardant. However, this was not known to Fusion Farms as it felt that the flower they bought was clean.

Unaware of the contamination, they continued the extraction as planned, but this time a different chemical reaction took place and after the distillation process some unusual crystals began to form. These crystals had a completely different structure than previously observed cannabinoid crystals. After doing some laboratory tests, it was found that these crystals were most similar to CBC (cannabichromene) but still did not match exactly.

For several months they continued testing this compound against any cannabinoids present and no match was found. Eventually they learned that it was another variant of tetrahydrocannabinol that was formed from exposure of plants to these flame retardants – called Delta 10 THC. So Delta Ten is basically a synthetic cannabinoid that is formed by converting D9 or other cannabinoids using a chemical catalyst. In this case it was fire retardant, but obviously people don’t want this for their cannabis products. As a result, companies are looking for different – more environmentally friendly – methods of making Delta 10 THC.

In chemistry, “delta” refers to the double bond in the molecular structure of a compound. Delta compounds have more electrons and interact with the body in different ways than single bond cannabinoids. The variation between delta THC analogs depends on where the double bond is on their chain of carbon atoms. Delta 8 has this bond on the 8th carbon chain, D9 on the 9th chain and Delta 10 THC has the double bond on the 10th carbon chain. Although it appears tiny, it makes a significant difference.

Check Reddit

Like many of us, Reddit is my public opinion website. In this case, it was actually the ONLY page I could find anything on. For the most part, I just found a lot of questions; Everyone wondered who had tried it and how it felt. A few different locations have reported that it feels similar to Delta 8 THC, but is milder. I honestly couldn’t tell because I haven’t had a chance to try (although that will change in about a week, so stay tuned for product reviews).

On Reddit, the user gave a very detailed description of his experience with D10. “I recently had the privilege of receiving a distillate that is said to be high in Delta 10 THC. This cannabinoid is very new. I can report that the effects are quite desirable, alone it seems that it works similarly to D8 compared to D9, with milder effects, but the effects themselves are completely different. “

He continued, “So far I’ve gotten some strong sativa-like feelings and it seems strong because that material isn’t even that high in D10a and still gives these results. When combined with other cannabinoids, I’ve found that it seems to greatly enhance the effects. I took a hit from D10a immediately followed by a D9 swab and I felt a noticeable difference in how fast and how hard it hit me. I’m not sure what’s going on there. I have yet to test the oral consumption (I will be making gel caps soon). ”

Other people – and this situation seems truer – are having issues with shipping and customer service and are still waiting to try for themselves. Take this reddit user who stated, “They had delivery issues and had to refund my order. Once they have complaint samples I’ll get one to try out for free. It’s been a few months but I know how this stuff goes, I still hold on to the fact that they will send me some. I recently contacted them. ”

Why it matters

Since Delta-9-THC is illegal, D10 leaves a small void for the medicinal benefits of THC, yet legally, and without the restlessness, paranoia, or generalized anxiety that often comes with marijuana. This is great news for those who want the therapeutic benefits without such a high value, as well as those who are sensitive to THC and prefer a formulation that gives them the benefits of the psychoactive effects without the ill effects of anxiety.

Right now, products are hard to find because not many companies make D10. Because of this, not many people are very familiar with D10, which makes communicating through these online forums all the more important. You can purchase vape carts through our newsletter that use a mixture of Delta 8 and CBN that is fortified with Delta 10 distillate. In lab tests they were around 16% D8, 7% CBN, and 57% Delta 10.
