Smoking versus Vaping Delta 8 Flowers – Which Consumption Method is Better?
With so many options on the market today, it’s no surprise that a large number of medical cannabis patients have questions about the pros, cons, and differences between the two most popular modes of consumption: smoking and vaping. But how do these differences come into play when we are talking about smoking or vaping Delta-8 flowers?

What are Delta 8 flowers?
When you hear THC you probably think of marijuana (cannabis high in Delta 9 THC), but that would be wrong in this case. Although Delta 8 can be extracted from marijuana in some cases, CBD is typically converted to this cannabinoid instead because it is present in such trace amounts that it would take a lot of cannabis to extract the large amounts of Delta 8 needed to make the Products are required for quality.
The way Delta 8 THC flowers are made is simple but very innovative – they are just CBD flowers infused (or sprayed with) Delta 8 THC distillate. First, the hemp flower needs to be prepared, which means it needs to be pruned properly, removing as much of the stem as possible.
Next, the distillate needs to be prepared so that it can be sprayed over the buds. The distillate has to be less viscous, which is the measure of the flow resistance of a liquid. There are several different ways to do this, but the most common method is by adding terpenes. Then the flower is added to a mug at a rate slow enough to evenly distribute the distillate without breaking the buds. And in the final step, the Delta-8 THC is sprayed over the flowers.

Smoking vs Vaping Delta 8 Flowers – Potency
Whether you’re talking about medicinal or recreational cannabis users, most of the time, consumers, or all strains, are trying to get the best bang for their buck … and by that I mean, they are looking for the strongest flower varieties and products. When it comes to this aspect of the smoking versus vaping debate, vaping your Delta 8 THC flowers is usually the way to go.
The reason for this is because vaporizers heat your buds to a certain temperature, which is much lower than burning your flower by smoking it. These lower temperatures allow you to get all of the effects of smoking and some more because all natural plant terpenes are not burned.
Contrary to popular belief, cannabinoids aren’t the only compound in cannabis that contributes to its medicinal benefits and psychoactive effects. Terpenes also play a very important role in this. They are not just the main compounds that store the taste and aroma of the plants. If you smoke Delta 8 THC flowers instead of vaporizing them, the high temperatures of the fire will instantly burn and destroy some of the terpenes.
In all honesty this is hard to say as it depends a lot on personal preference. Logically, it would make sense to say that when you vape Delta 8 THC flowers, you get an enhanced taste as it doesn’t destroy the terpenes, but that’s not always the case. Personally, I’m old-fashioned and prefer to smoke a joint or a bowl or vape dry herb (although I love blobs too), and I know a lot of people who feel the same way.
Again, conventional wisdom would say that if you want to get the most out of your flowers, vaping the flowers is your best bet. Because the vaporizer takes advantage of these safe, lower temperatures, you can experience each strain of a unique terpene blend on an entirely different level.
Smoking versus vaping – lung health
Another notable difference between smoking and vaping – and perhaps the most important – is the impact these two methods of consumption have on our lungs. Although cannabis is generally considered to be safer than cigarettes, it is common knowledge that smoking can all lead to negative health effects. All forms of smoke are known to be irritating to the lungs and cause inflammation.
In addition, smoke produces carcinogens, substances known to damage living cells and even cause cancer. All of this damage to the lung tissue eventually reduces total oxygen uptake, making breathing and physical activity difficult. As you can see, while smoking is one of the most popular types of cannabis use, there is some risk involved.
Alternatively, vaping Delta 8 THC flowers is a much safer option than smoking. Because of the much lower temperatures used by vaporizers, steam instead of smoke. Vaping isn’t entirely risk-free as studies have shown that tiny particles released when vaping can still irritate the lungs, but it seems like a healthier alternative based on the information available to us so far.
Smoking versus vaping Delta 8 flowers – final thoughts
As you can see, we have a pretty clear winner here when it comes to finding the best way to consume your Delta 8 THC flowers: vaping. When you vape Delta 8 THC flowers, you’ll experience better taste, fewer health risks, and a stronger high … that meets pretty much all of the major criteria for the modern cannabis user.
